Rippling Sands is a stainless steel sculpture inspired by the delicate ridges revealed on the shoreline as the tide recedes.
Echoing the natural phenomenon known as ripples—small, rhythmic formations shaped by wind and wave action—the work captures a fleeting moment in the landscape and renders it in enduring form.
The sculpture’s convex, tapering shapes rise and fall in a gentle cadence, their surfaces polished to a mirror finish that reflects and animates the surrounding environment.
Light moves across the piece much like water across sand, creating a sense of quiet motion and calm.
Hand-built in marine-grade stainless steel, Rippling Sands is designed for both indoor and outdoor settings.
