My Stainless Steel Sculpture ‘Pirouette‘ aims to capture the essence of movement and grace, seamlessly blending a trio of dancers into one fluid expression of elegance.
Each poised on their tiptoes, they whirl around one another with effortless precision, their movements synchronized to the rhythm of their music.
As you circle the sculpture, each aspect reveals a different glimpse of the figures in an array of three-dimensional poses.
The contrasting reflections of light further accentuate the complexity of the forms creating a subtle balance of illumination and shadow.
‘Pirouette’ is designed, using triple layers of contoured marine grade stainless steel, cut then shaped by hand, tig welded, dressed, and polished to a mirror finish.
‘Pirouette’ was shown at Kilkenny Art Gallery as part of The Kilkenny Arts Festival 2024.
