In early 2021, during lockdown, artists Claire Halpin and Madeleine Hellier, put out an open call to artists, crafters and makers in all communities across Ireland to create small artworks (6”x 6”) in any medium considering the theme of comfort.
I chose to make Jigsaw Time in mirror finish stainless steel and was delighted to be included in this unique venture.

PLUID – The National Comfort Blanket grew to be a collective project of nearly 1200 original artworks to be exhibited as our ‘National Comfort Blanket’ at The Cowshed Gallery, Farmleigh Estate, Dublin.
So excited to see the range and variety of art, design and craft at this unique exhibition.
Following the exhibition the individual artworks will be auctioned online in aid of Pieta House.
